Foll's Field Home For Life
Meet the Team

These are the people to look out for when around Folls Field, any of these hoomans would happily talk your ear off about our wonderful herd and what we do.

June
Without June none of us would be here. She's the crazy lady who can and will talk almost anyone into loving her collection of horses.

John
If you can't find John then he's almost definitely having a nap in one of the shelters; if not here then he's probably on the roof of one of them, just listen for the sound of drilling and bashing. However, at 1pm on the dot, without fail, he'll be ringing the tea bell to summon the team for lunch.

Alec
Alec only wanted to take his dog for a walk when he bumped in to June, he then made the mistake of offering to help her to put our some hay. Soon he became carer to Isis and has never left since, he's now carer for Tay.

Danielle
Danielle joined us aged 11 when she was on an Easter walk with family, she clearly didn't want to go and was very easily persuaded to come say hello to the ponies, safe to say the rest is history, over 10 years later she's still here, a teacher by trade but she's also our treasurer and accosts people of her own to say hello to the ponies nowadays!
Lee
Lee asked us one day if we could use a water butt he had, like everyone else, he then somehow got roped in to helping out. Lee has many skills and half the shelters wouldn't have been built without him, his impressive research skills and knowledge of old farming methods have meant that he has dug out and realigned the old, Victorian drainage under the fields meaning the floods drain away much quicker.
Liz
Joined us in 2020 just before the start of lockdown and has been down mucking out, shifting hay and chasing horses literally every day since. Not only that but the work she and her daughter have put in to Annie has bought that stubborn, little pony on so far and she can now be ridden, we cannot wait to see what they can achieve in the years to come as she's not allowed to leave now, we'd be lost with out her muck heap arranging skills now!

Laura
Along with her daughter, Laura is another of our 2020 lock down recruits. She has since become besotted by Flynne and carer for both him and Danny. Incredibly good at finding a bargain and sourcing free stuff that we need for the horses, fields and even sometimes us hoomans she was definitely a good find and we are keeping her!
Evie
Evie is chief digger. Give her a spade and she'll dig. Another recruit we're definitely not letting go. She'll give anything a go if it'll help the horses and those are the kind of people our horses like.
